Competition for the annual i-FM e-business Award remains brisk year after year, demonstrating the vital importance of a whole range of technology solutions in current and leading-edge FM practice.

The final three included Eurest Services for its knowledge-based service management platform, Atkins for its tailored CAFM system and IFPI for its performance modelling solution.
The much anticipated result was announced at the annual PFM Partnership Awards Dinner held in London on November 3rd.

2010 i-FM e-business Award Runner Up:
International Property and Facilities Information: EstatesMaster is a tool designed to aid intelligent decision making, monitoring, planning and controlling of the cost involved in the provision of facilities services in an infinite variety of building-specific scenarios.
The bespoke software provides a mathematical model that enables the user to make accurate predictions of the ‘best performance’ cost of providing facilities services to various levels of quality in a wide range of building-specific scenarios. For each facilities service it can take into account the building-specific variables affecting issues such as the quantity of work to be addressed, the design and specification of the building and contents, user activity, operational conditions, internal and external environmental conditions and micro/macro-economic market conditions.
The software is also able to test current financial performance against a modelled peer group for a wide range of facilities services from maintenance to document distribution.
