There’s never a shortage of big issues, challenges – and opportunities – confronting FM. Currently, these include a new government, the continued drive toward net zero and sustainability, rapidly developing technologies, a changing market landscape with an active M&A scene, a need to be agile and responsive, as well as ongoing concerns around recruitment & retention and cost control.
So, as the last quarter of the year rolls into view and then the prospect of 2025, what’s your opinion on the state of the UK facilities management industry? And what are your expectations for the coming year?
The FM Business Confidence Index is a landmark annual study, launched by i-FM two decades ago to track market views and experiences, summarise these and report back with timely insights to help practising FMs understand better and prepare for challenges and opportunities – those here now and those coming over the horizon.
If you work in FM, we want to hear from you. How do you see the marketplace today? What are the key trends? Are you confident in your company’s business strategy and in the ability of the sector to meet the challenges and seize the opportunities? Are you optimistic about your own job stability, or perhaps ready to make a change?
Research is important to all of us in this industry, so please do join in – and encourage your colleagues to join in, too. The survey is entirely anonymous. It has been designed to be simple yet insightful, and there is an opportunity towards the end for you to add any comments you would like to make about any of the issues raised.
We’ll be reporting on the findings in several weeks’ time, using only aggregate and anonymous data.
