Industry news: new focus, new project, new service

Trigon says it plans to focus increasingly on its mainstream workplace management business, where growth has been strong in the past few months. Recent client wins include Unisys, Cisco and BA. For back-up on property consultancy and project management services, Trigon will look to FPDSavills, its 100% parent following the buy-out of Castleview's share last summer.

Building & Property, together with consortium members the Miller Group and British Linen Bank, has won a £9M contract to develop the country's first PFI mental healthcare unit. For the 40-bed Oxford Clinic, B & P will be responsible for delivery of all non-clinical services over the contract period of 25 years.

ABB Steward has launched 'Serviceman', an integrated IT system designed to help its field teams respond more effectively to both routine and emergency calls. The system utilises laptops and modem connections to supply full customer data to the engineer, provide online technical support and record actions and requests for follow-up.
