Our client, a leading engineering services organisation have specified the need for a head of projects to head up project management delivery within their critical services division.
As the head of projects your role will be split between insuring the successful delivery of client projects with leading the ongoing identification and successful bid of project work/expansion of project pipeline.
Main duties will include:
Management of the project team including three project managers directly reporting to you.
Project identification and bid management.
Building strong relationships with customers.
Financial management and accountability for the project group.
As Head of Projects your role will be extremely customer focussed involving a large amount of contact with corporate clientele.
You will be able to build profitable long term relationships enabling you to understand their potential needs in terms of future CAPEX work.
Hands-on delivery of projects will be delegated to your project team with exception of some of the higher profile/larger projects .
Typical projects will range from refit/refurbs in high specification office environments to CAPEX projects, typically plant replacement projects such HV/LV upgrades/UPS replacements in critical environments.
Person Specification:
Ability to excel in corporate environment/extremely client facing.
Ability to build strong relationships.
A strong history of project delivery within corporate offices, data centres, investment banks.
Commercially astute, tenacious, bid management tender experience, preferably mechanical/electrical background.
