Our client is one of the UK’s largest facilities management and property consultancies who require an Interim Moves (Decant) Manager for one of their prestigious secondary education contracts in London. The main responsibility for the post is to co-ordinate their supply chain partners and liaise with the Local Authority and school representatives. Key Responsibilities The Interim Moves Manager will be responsible for the phased moving of furniture and equipment (including ICT equipment) across an immediate programme of construction work, which includes new build, refurbishment and temporary accommodation. Initially this will be for two schools (but their project is across other schools and could lead to a contract extension for successful candidates). You will act as their primary representative for moves planning and implementation and manage contractor’s project plans, migration planning documentation and link with the local authority stakeholders. Person Specification This role will suit facilities management professionals with a demonstrable background in managing moves and decanting staff within a busy, dynamic environment. You will possess strong client relationship skills (ideally within the public sector) and work in a collaborative and collegiate manner. In addition to developed communication and leadership ability, you will have extensive contract management and commercial experience across a multi-disciplined environment. This is initially offered as an interim post for c.8 months but due to the size of their contract and partnership across the borough – successful completion of this move could lead to further consultancy projects within the group. This is a post that will commence ASAP so only immediately available professionals can be considered.
