A unique opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Contract Manager at the University of Arts. The organisation has a very large and structured in-house Facilities Management operation. This is a new role that forms part of the senior level management team, reporting directly into the Head of Facilities Management. The role’s key duties include but are not limited to the following: *Procurement and management of important out-sourced services and supply contracts for both hard and soft services. *Extensive and demonstrative ability in the areas of contract and performance management and sustainability of all contracts. *Monitoring health and safety policies, therefore an IOSH and/or NEBOSH certification would be advantageous. *The successful candidate will have a good understanding of mechanical and electrical expertise to all sites in conjunction with the Head of Facilities and the service provider partners. *As the role is responsible for the financial resource management of all related budgets and forecasting tasks, a good level of financial acumen is required in addition to a background depicting cost awareness and implementing cost efficiency. *Assisting with the strategic planning and management of ongoing projects including refurbishments, fit outs and churn. This is a completely new role within the university, created specifically to address newly emerging demands to obtain best practice and value for money from the in house contractors and operations.
