The judging process for the Technology in FM Awards is straightforward. The entry process starts with you sending us an email detailing your company name, the category you would like to enter and a brief outline of your entry. We will follow up by asking you to submit a full presentation.
Entries will then be shortlisted to three nominees per category. These shortlisted entrants will be invited to present their entries in front of an expert panel consisting of the i-FM team and a number of high-profile facilities management professionals with a vast knowledge of technology and innovation.
The judging panel in 2013 and 2014 included:
• David Emanuel, Managing Director, i-FM
• Simon Iatrou, Editor, i-FM
• Andrew Targell, Global Head of Deployment and Systems, Compass
• Gary Hughes, Chief Information Office, Carillion.
Each presentation must last 15 minutes, with an extra 20 minutes allocated for the judges to ask questions. While every entry is treated equally, the Q&A section is a rigorous process in which entries will be judged against a matrix incorporating business case, impact on the organisation and client(s), and RoI, as well as the potential impact of widespread implemention across FM in general.
All shortlisted entrants are invited to join us at Workplace Futures in February, where the winners will be announced following the main conference programme.
