Richard Beamish, Chief Executive - Asset Skills

Started out as a school teacher, working in secondary schools including inner city multi-cultural. Loved it. Seconded to The Newspaper Society as part of preparation for Deputy Headship but stayed.

Became Head of Training and a member of the National Council for the Training of Journalists Board.

On to Chief Executive of the Print and Graphic Communication National Training Organisation and then Asset Skills.

A WORD OF ADVICE:

Never, ever, ever give up (unless a better idea comes along) AND get the best people around you

A LITTLE KNOWN FACT:

Once came second at Epsom (orienteering, not horse racing). Described by the Coventry Evening Telegraph as a future international athlete.
