Technology in FM Awards 2019 finalists revealed

Six entrants will compete in the final of i-FM's annual awards programme, vying for recognition as the best in development and application of new technologies in the facilities sector.

Following the final judging next month, awards will be presented in two categories. The shortlisted companies in each are:

People and Technology –

  • UHub – Enhanced mobile training and engagement hub for cleaning companies that delivers a training path of four certificated modules consisting of 20 City & Guilds endorsed lessons, with detailed real-time reporting

  • ISS – A smart phone-based customer-focused solution targeted specifically at improving the client workplace experience by applying technology to ‘smart-enable’ various service touchpoints used throughout a typical day at work

  • MyTAG – A flexible platform capable of providing solutions within any processes where management oversight or service delivery needs to be evidenced, recorded, escalated or rectified

Innovation in Technology -

  • OCS - Bespoke middleware for the Ministry of Justice Integrator service contract that has greatly improved reporting and scheduling between multiple systems and stakeholders

  • Altuity - Software solutions that help facilities, site staff and service providers maintain buildings and assets, and meet compliance needs, doing this in a highly visual way over the cloud

  • Churchill - CATI (Compliance Assurance Through Insight), a software-as-a-service digital solution developed to simplify compliance management specifically for the built environment.

Speaking about this year’s award competition, i-FM managing director David Emanuel said: “We continue to be impressed with the creativity shown by entrants and by their determination to deliver a whole range of technology-based initiatives that add value to service companies and their clients. While people are the life-blood of FM, technology is the enabler – and it will inevitably shape a new future for the industry.”

The winners in both award categories will be announced at the Workplaces Futures conference in February.
