IXEurope expands with Dusseldorf co-location facility

IXEurope continues its aggressive expansion plan with a new IXDatacentre in Dusseldorf. This follows the openings of the company’s Paris and Heathrow SuperHubs earlier this year. IXEurope plans to open 24 facilities across Europe over the next three years.

Dusseldorf, chosen because of its location in the wealthiest state in Germany, is home to over 2,000 international organisations as well as telecoms, media and IT companies The highly technically educated population in the area should provide IXEurope with staff.

Christoph Blum, city manager of Dusseldorf, says the neutral co-location facility confirms Dusseldorf’s leading position in the information and communications field. He also hopes IXEurope profits extensively from the 11 million people in the Rhine-Ruhr region.

IXEurope provides neutral co-location and facilities management services to internet, telecoms and corporate organisations giving them fast access to the market and freedom to focus on their core business.
