ADT launch to reduce energy bills

ADT Fire and Security has launched a new Network Communications Group, a specialist division which will enable companies to cut down their energy bills by giving them complete control of all their communications systems.

Keeping control of various management information systems, building management and security systems can be both costly and time consuming and often requires extra manpower for multi-sites. The Network Communications Group's advanced Communications Management System will provide the means for organisations to monitor all functions at the same time from one location point.

The core of the system is NetCOM, an integrated software package that simultaneously manages and controls electronic building systems such as fire, security, CCTV, access control, heating and ventilation, lighting and meter reading.

John Morgan, Director of ADT's Network Communications Group, said: "Not only does NetCOM allow the managing of all electronic functions sites through local and wide area networks, it also lets the user precisely monitor excessive energy consumption and wastage. The system is so efficient that it is able to pay for itself within two years of being installed, thereby minimising the final penalties imposed by the Climate Change Levy."

A NetCOM system can be tailored to an organisation's specific requirements and a complete support package is provided. David Hampson, Sales Director of the Network Communications Group, said the variety of clients who benefit from ADT's expertise illustrates the versatility of the services the company can provide.
