Web-enabled FM service systems on offer

Software developer Cognition Solutions has launched a facilities management service provider system that can be accessed via the internet.

The company has web-enabled its existing Intellect suite of twenty-five integrated modules covering such aspects as costing, procurement and service management. The package is used by a range of service providers, from cleaning specialists to vending and security services.

MD Michael Riley says this a natural progression and adopts internet technology to allow authorised users to share and update information held in a company's business systems.

"Most company directors do not realise the competitive power of the internet," notes Riley. "You don't have to wait for your competition to build an office next to you to experience competitive pressure. With the internet, your competitors only have to build a web-enabled strategy to start taking your customers."

"We took the investment decision to web-enable our systems because successful businesses will increasingly use the internet to gain competitive advantages," he adds.
