Orange tests out its vision for the future
Mobile phone company Orange, which has recently been proclaiming that the future is wireless, has established a testbed in Birmingham.
With the input of network specialist RES, the Orange Studio - claimed as the first wire-free multi-media and Internet cafˇ - is open for business.
The studio was conceived as the solution to a converging electronic world. It offers extensive communication facilities - including presentation and videoconferencing technologies - Internet access, a graphics bureau, reproduction and printing - and coffee, of course.
Also available are meeting rooms, catering facilities and experienced staff. If anyone in Birmingham would care to visit and report back on the experience, we'd be glad to hear about it.
