AMEC wins Halfords HQ refurbishment

AMEC continues to build on its partnering relationship with Boots, the latest project involving refurbishment of a four-storey HQ building in Redditch for Halfords, a part of the Boots Group.

The £3.5M contract calls for a phased programme that will allow the building to remain operational. The 400 staff will gain an open plan environment, complete with comfort cooling, new cable management systems and the addition of touchdown spaces for flexible workers.

The project started with substantial design input from specialist suppliers in order to reduce costs and the time required on site.

AMEC has also won a new contract with another longstanding client, the Polestar Group. This £2.5M project will provide offices and production facilities on a landscaped site.
