Sulzer and Bruce Shaw in Irish joint venture

Infrastructures solutions company Sulzer Infra CBX has established a new joint venture with Irish construction and development consultants Bruce Shaw.

Brendan O’Mara and Bill Heath together with Mike Cairney (director of Programme Management, Sulzer Infra CBX), David O’Brien (new managing director, BSFM Ltd.), Gerard Campbell (senior partner, Bruce Shaw) and Derry Scully (senior partner, Bruce Shaw).

The new company, Bruce Shaw Facilities Management (BSFM), is to specialise in the provision of facilities management services in Ireland, building on Sulzer’s FM experience throughout the UK and Europe.

Sulzer Infra CBX managing director Bill Heath commented on the new development: ”We are looking forward to the opportunities that joining forces with one of the most progressive firms of consultants in Ireland will bring. I believe that we have seen evidence over the last number of years that the Irish market is ready to embrace facilities management as a corporate discipline for future years.”

Brendan O'Mara, Bruce Shaw’s chairman added: “This marks another important step in the development of Bruce Shaw in Ireland. I am confident that the enlarged Bruce Shaw practice will enable us to draw on an even wider pool of expertise to provide a more complete service to all our clients throughout Ireland.”

Bruce Shaw clients include government agencies, municipal authorities, college and school authorities, hospital boards, recreational groups, commercial and industrial corporations, as well as private owners.
