Caxton FM wins contracts worth £3.2m

Shortly after announcing a 29% increase in turnover (see News story), Caxton FM has been awarded new and renewed contracts worth £3.2m over the next five years.

Caxton FM is to provide FM services for the WDA across its South East Wales offices and for the Longford Group at the Princess House in Swansea.

WDA’s property asset manager Lynda Sagona said: "We were impressed by Caxton’s professional approach and attention to detail. Many of the properties they will be managing, such as Imperial House at Newport, make a statement, not only for the agency, but also for Wales and we are confident that, in Caxton’s hands, the portfolio will be maintained to the highest possible standard".

Earlier this month, along with parent group, Kier, Caxton established a partnership company with the London Borough of Islington, Caxton Islington Ltd, to undertake a programme that includes housing maintenance, repairs and cleaning (see News story).

The company also won a PFI contract at the new Bournemouth Central Library in August this year, where it will provide services for the next 25 years.

In addition to these contracts Caxton FM is to manage the services for Gwent Careers, bringing Caxton’s client base to 83 and 230 sites around the country.

Caxton FM’s chairman and MD Clive Thomas said he was delighted with the news and commented on the new contracts: "This is tremendous news for the future of Caxton in, not only achieving these contracts, but also increasing our employees. I’ve always maintained that our staff is our main asset and we value them very highly. With our experienced facilities managers and staff who operate at client sites, we work in partnership with our clients providing them with a quality service."
