Further acquisitions for ISS

ISS has acquired companies in Sweden, Switzerland and Finland. The company bought Swedish Ägarfolket AB, a cleaning and support service company with 730 employees, which is expected to generate a turnover of £11m (DKK 140m) in 2000.

It also acquired Arega AG, a cleaning company located in Zürich, Switzerland.

Arega AG has 365 employees and a turnover of £3m (DKK 39m). The company's activities are mainly carried out within the daily office cleaning and the food segment.

Moreover, ISS bought Finish Salon Lähiöpalvelu Ay and Salon Tehdaspalvelu Oy. The companies have 13 employees and a turnover of £394,000 (DKK 5m).

ISS said the current management will continue in the companies and that the acquisition will strengthen ISS' building maintenance operations in the area.

All the acquisitions are subject to satisfactory due diligence and ISS believes they will contribute positively to the group's EVA® (Economic Value Added).
