The British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) has reached a major milestone in its short history by recruiting its 6,000th member. Mr Jeremy Wood is currently Operations Director, North East Division, Sodexho Catering and Support Services and is currently working towards his National Professional Qualification (issued by the BIFM).

Mr Wood commented on becoming a BIFM member: "Being a member of the industry’s professional body is very important. Sodexho manages an increasing number of facilities management contracts, so it is important that I have the correct qualifications."

The BIFM is hosting the World Workplace Europe conference, held in Glasgow on 11-13 June.
