MITIE Managed Services, part of MITIE Group, has been selected to provide support services to the flagship co-location centre of Global Switch, in London's Docklands. MITIE has been working through the refurbishment phase since last September and now has two managers on site. Services provided include security, cleaning, catering, office services, waste management, landscaping and visitor management.

The Global Switch operation, housed in the former FT printing plant, provides highly serviced accommodation for telecoms carriers and commercial internet suppliers, including Global Crossing. MITIE negotiated an 'evergreen' contract and have not disclosed the value.
