Citex wins court services contract

Citex has been awarded a £14 million contract to provide project management and quantity surveying services for a new Civil Trial Centre to be built in Bristol.

The new centre will include civil courtrooms, accommodation for administrative, probate and internal assurance, together with a new training centre for court service staff in the Bristol area. The centre will link together all civil and family work currently undertaken by The Court Service at a number of separate locations in Bristol, on a single site.

Citex is currently considering proposals from a number of developers for design and construction work.

Gordon Coles, Customer Service Director at Citex, commented on the win: "We are delighted to have been awarded this prestigious contract against stiff competition. I believe that the win is an acknowledgement of our expertise in this specialist field and builds on our successful track record of managing high value projects."

Citex has a great deal of experience working with Crown and County Courts, the company was recently awarded a contract to provide framework consultancy for The Court Service in England and Wales, and currently provides advisory services to the Northern Ireland Courts Service.
