New technical division for National Integrated Services

National Integrated Services has launched a new technical services division, to be headed by Len Boyd who has over 20 years experience in technical services and facilities management. The new division will handle a range of non-cleaning activities including M&E, alarm systems, insulation, air conditioning and much more.

Clients of National’s UK network will have two offers: a 24-hour call out service to handle emergencies and a regular Planned Preventative Maintenance Programme (PPMP).

Each PPMP is individually tailored to specific client needs and covers the systems and materials used, health and safety and other workplace regulations.

Len Boyd said: "FM companies like National Integrated Services, offering specialist technical skills are the future for the industry. They will win the blue chip customers because clients do not want electrical and mechanical breakdowns."

One of National’s associates, LCC Support Services, the contract cleaning and FM company, has trebled its turnover by adding £2 million of new business since its management buy out in 1997. LCC has added 50% to its annual turnover since last December and is currently tendering for contracts of between £500,000 and £1m.
