Changing jobs too often could be unhealthy

Swedish research shows that people who change jobs often are less healthy, especially temporary and part time workers in the service sector.

One of the researchers, Kerstin Isaksson, said: “There are clear signs that staff who move from one job to another too often suffer physically as well as psychologically. People have less money, lack security and become unhealthy.”

Particularly temporary workers who feel they don’t belong, because of the nature of the work, are at risk. Since this type of employment is on the increase companies need to promote flexible working and introduce new safety regulations advised Isaksson.
