FM Expo conference programme set

The conference programme for FM Expo 2000 (19-21 September) covers a wide range of issues, from legislation to professional development, in 21 half-day sessions featuring some of the best speakers in the business.

Session titles include:

How to be a successful facilities manager
The challenge of managing churn
The FM department: change or die?
Customer service and help desk integration
Unwired - cordless technologies and FM
The workplace and productivity
FM & the Net
Service level agreements
Making contracts work

The speaker team includes the new chairman of the BIFM Ian Fielder; the Chief Executive of Citex Oliver Jones; consultant and current Opinion columnist on i-FM, Michael Mainelli; John Davis of Facilities Recruitment; consultant David Pearson; Philip Ross of Cordless Consultants; Colin Todd of CS Todd & Associates and Derek Butcher of the Centre for Facilities Consultancy.

As well as the Conference programme, FM Expo will feature a series of sessions organised by Partnership Sourcing, the joint CBI/DTI initiative. Partnership case studies will include The Post Office, Marconi Naval Systems, TNT and Manpower.

A central feature on the floor of FM Expo 2000 will be FM Inter@active. The programme is being finalised now but will include a debate with a panel of facilities editors, including the editor of i-FM Richard Byatt, and a session on the internet as a tool and resource for facilities managers.
