The mobile office for the internet age became a reality with the first public appearance of the Mobile Office, a customised and web enabled Mercedes people mover, at World Workplace yesterday. The vehicle is part of a research project, conceived by Lionel Prodgers of Ark e-management, to examine the potential and economics of location free working. The Mobile Office will be evaluated on real projects by companies, including sponsors Mercedes Benz, and BP.
