Johnson Controls launches new research project

Johnson Controls is calling on corporate real estate managers throughout the world to take part in its first ever on-line research project.

The annual Survey of Corporate Real Estate Practices is run in conjunction with the IDRC and the University of Reading. More than 3,000 real estate managers are to be surveyed on range of issues including real estate ownership, property costs and operating skills.

This year, the survey is hosted on-line for the first time, enabling a broader range of managers to participate in this international project. The survey began yesterday and will run through to August. Johnson Controls’ drive is to achieve a broader geographical spread than before.

According to Barry Varcoe, Director of Strategic Development at Johnson Controls, "The main objective of this survey is to facilitate the diffusion of best corporate real estate management practices across the globe. The survey, which is the only one of its kind, will build on trends established since 1993, when it was initiated an identify differences between various parts of the industry."
