RICS launches office forecasting model

The RICS has launched an office supply and demand forecasting model, the result of a major collaborative research project between the RICS Research Foundation and the Corporation of London.

The City of London is being used as the test-bed although the RICS says the model can be adapted for other metropolitan centres. Developed by a consortium of Business Strategies Ltd, City University Business School and the University of Reading, the model provides a predictive capability for the supply and demand for offices.

The model is available free of charge as an Excel spreadsheet on the RICS Research Foundation's website
