Trammell Crow Company and FPDSavills have appointed Edward Lyons (pictured) as president and chief executive officer of their new outsourcing joint venture Trammell Crow Savills, launched last month (see news story).

Lyons was previously executive managing director at CB Richard Ellis/CB Hillier Parker and was responsible for corporate facilities management, account development and operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

John Maher, group president responsible for global sales and marketing for Trammell Crow Corporate Services said: "Edward's 30 years experience in real estate, financial services and corporate management in the United States and Europe will be invaluable in managing and growing Trammell Crow Savills. Initially, he will focus on outsourcing operations and facilities management in the UK and European markets."

The formation of Trammell Crow Savills, which aims to deliver global real estate outsourcing solutions, is subject to a favourable vote at an extraordinary general meeting of Savills shareholders to be held later this month.

• Trigon, FPD Savills’ facilities management subsidiary which will become part of the new TCS venture, has appointed Simon Ball as Facilities Manager – Scotland on behalf of its client Cisco Systems. Simon was previously Information Manager at the Centre for Facilities Management in Glasgow, due to relocate to Salford later this summer.
