News: New appointments

Gerald Bowthorpe and Jim Goodliffe

Tilbury Douglas, which acquired Building & Property in December last year (see News story), has appointed Clive Jeremy Groom to its board as an executive director with particular responsibility for the group's facilities services activities.

• Jim Goodliffe has been appointed chairman of property services company OCS Group. He will replace Gerald Bowthorpe who retires in March after 43 years with the company. Goodliffe is the first member of the fourth generation of the founding family to take the role of chairman.

He said: “I'm looking forward to a very exciting challenge, especially with regard to the financial demands of a large, privately owned group. I have always maintained contact with the group and am confident of establishing an excellent working relationship with other board members."
