Changes at the top of Sulzer Infra CBX

Mike Cairney has taken over at helm of infrastructure solutions company Sulzer Infra CBX . He has been appointed managing director following Bill Heath’s decision to step down.

The move comes as part of a strategic restructuring following Sulzer's decision to seek a responsible new owner for the infrastructure solutions business as it reorganises to focus on core business.

Carlos Dolz, vice president, Business Activity Infrastructure Services (BA IS – formerly ISD), expressed his sadness concerning Bill Heath’s departure at this time and for his significant history of achievement on behalf of the organisation – “as he has consistently propelled it from strength to strength.” He wished him well in his new career.

Mike Cairney said: "I look forward to taking the helm at this crucial period of the company's history. I have worked for SI CBX during its history of significant growth, its acquisition by Sulzer and watched it continue to provide excellent service as Sulzer seeks a new owner who will continue the investment we have made in becoming one of Europe's premier infrastructure solutions providers." Sulzer is currently seeking offers for the organisation and appraising them to ensure the correct cultural and strategic fit for the company.

To support Mike and the SI-CBX Executive Committee, changes were also announced concerning the SI-CBX Board. Alan Berry has been appointed chairman of the Board which will now include: Mike Cairney, Terry Scott (MD Sulzer Infra (UK)), Rainer McGill (SI-CBX Finance Director), Daniela Spati (BA IS Financial Director Designate) and Carlos Dolz (Vice President BA IS).
