A new consultancy focused on interim management and change management has been formed by two experienced FM professionals.

The co-directors of Etoile Consulting are Marcus Hill and Iain Stephen. Hill, formerly business development manager at Amey where he was responsible for mobilisation of the One2One contract, has also worked with Coflex and Procord (now Johnson Controls). Stephen is ex-Mobil and also spent time with Coflex.

Etoile has been established to provide professional facilities management services in all market sectors, both directly to clients, and as sub-consultants to facilities management and business support organisations.

The new consultancy believes there is often a requirement for specific tasks or assignments to be carried out by consultants with fixed costs and timescales to defined standards. Its core business will be assignment based with an aim of building long term relationships with clients and undertaking a series of short term assignments.

Although having worked with organisations that have converted consulting assignments into operational FM accounts, it is not Etoile’s aim to make this the core of their business. “It is essential that high levels of customer care are provided to clients and the best mechanism for this is to truly focus on client needs,” says Hill, “Etoile has an effective management system that allows us to focus on the defined requirements to ensure that, very simply, our promise to deliver is translated into delivery of the promise”.
