Inward investment expert is new Director of CBI Wales

As the Labour Party struggles with its leadership in the Welsh Assembly the Confederation of British Industry has appointed an expert on inward investment as the new Director of CBI Wales.

David Rosser (pictured left), Senior Project Manager at the Welsh Development Agency (WDA), will take over the post previously held by Dr Elizabeth Haywood from April. Mr Rosser currently heads a specialist team that attracts overseas investment into electronics, e-commerce and call centres.

Born in Swansea, Mr Rosser previously worked in the banking sector, marketing financial services. He has an MBA from Cardiff Business School and a degree in Banking and International Finance from City University, London.

"This is an exciting opportunity at a challenging time," he said. "We have to get the Welsh economy firing on all cylinders and the CBI has a crucial role to play. I have worked in both public and private sectors, which has given me the chance to work with companies of all types and sizes. I believe this will help me represent CBI members effectively."
