Cognition Solutions, provider of business IT solutions to FM suppliers as well as companies in construction, engineering, manufacturing and distribution, has been given an award by UNIX software company SCO for which it is a reseller.

The UK based company won SCO's Great Webtop Contest for customisation of the UnixWare 7 Webtop. Cognition's Intellect Web Enabled solution was founded on its own Intellect accounting and business administration system which provides access to corporate applications and data via a secure Internet connection.

In choosing a winner, the judges sought an innovative solution that demonstrated the capabilities of the UnixWare 7 Webtop. The Cognition solution was regarded as delivering the best graphical implementation, the best extension to UnixWare 7 and the best application integration.
