Regus extends its offer into housing

Another new idea from serviced workplace provider Regus - this time combining office space and corporate housing.

Regus has established a link with the US-based Oakwood, a global provider of furnished apartments for business travellers. Oakwood, which also handles executive relocation, has more than 100,000 apartments located throughout Europe, Asia and the US. The accommodation, leased on a month by month basis, is said to be more cost effective than comparable hotels.

The collaboration is being backed by a high-profile marketing campaign, offering special discount rates for each company's products and services.

Says Regus chairman Mark Dixon: "This is the first truly integrated one-stop shop for corporate accommodation. With our largely complementary client base, the new alliance with Oakwood means that both parties will be able to extend the services they offer, enabling us to continue to add value for our customers."

"This deal," Dixon adds, "will facilitate the way in which businesses can execute global projects, a key priority expressed by our clients."
