New director of projects at Johnson Controls

Johnson Controls has appointed Peter Green as Director of Projects following the departure of Brid Morton to take up her new post of Director of Projects and Portfolio Management IFM Commercial, North America. Green was previously Johnson Control’s Customer Business Director for the nuclear industry. He joined the UKAEA in 1976 with an honours degree in Modern History from Oxford University and initially worked in human resources before moving into property and building service management in the 1980s.

Peter Green will manage the delivery of project management services to a common global standard and will also be developing new business processes as well as growing the projects side of the business. “This new role is an exciting and challenging opportunity and a complete contrast to my previous role in the organisation. There is significant challenge involved in bringing together the sometimes divergent cultures of FM and Projects teams to deliver integrated solutions.

l Johnson Controls has topped a survey of UK facilities services providers. Facilities Recruitment Ltd. asked 180 facilities managers to name the company they thought was at the leading edge of the industry in terms of quality of service, innovation and growth.

Commenting on the result, Ron Hillier, Director of HR at Johnson Controls, said: “Our success very much depends on getting the right people for the right job and retaining them through a supportive and developmental environment. It is therefore gratifying to know that Johnson Controls is regarded as the market leader by potential employees within the industry.”
