BIFM launch innovative new website

The FM industry has a new information resource at its fingertips in the shape of the British Institute of Facilities Management's new website.

The website, designed by on-line communications company Enigma, seeks to provide members and newcomers with up-to-date FM news and information. BIFM has just under 6000 members which range across a broad spectrum of the FM industry and include many students, FM professionals and FM organisations.
The website includes pages of interest for both its corporate and associate members. It also has pages for regional members and details of events and training programmes in the local and national area.

Saul Shangher, PR and marketing manager, told i-FM: "We wanted to provide our members with a new innovative, interactive website where members and newcomers can go to find related FM information. BIFM Online also has a link to i-FM therefore has access to daily FM news stories."

Dominic Treasure, client services director at Enigma, said of the website design: "BIFM wanted a site which was simple to use and easy to navigate. The ideology was to provide news and information in a professional manner - a resource of information, outlining training programmes and forthcoming events - ensuring BIFM is reflected as an open and approachable institute."
