ABB wins two £4.3m M&E contracts

ABB has won two mechanical and electrical services contracts worth over £4.3m. The projects, which will be completed this year, are a School of Health at the University of Teesside and a Switch and Data Centre for the mobile phone company Orange in Darlington.

 

The M&E services will be on the same site as the Orange Call Centre above.

The School of Health contract was placed by AMEC after a competitive tender and includes work such as main switch and distribution, low temperature hot water heating system and fan coil air conditioning.

The contract at the Orange Switch and Data Centre, placed by Bowmer & Kirkland, includes the design and installation of services ranging from mains power to fire detection, generators and ventilation and comfort cooling.

ABB employs some 165,000 people in over 100 countries and serves customers in power transmission and distribution; automation; oil, gas and petrochemicals; building technologies; and in financial services.
