Building & Property wins £23m contract for ONS

Building & Property has been awarded a £23m five-year contract to provide FM services to the Office of National Statistics (ONS). As reported earlier, Building & Property and Haden Building Management made it to the final round in the ONS bidding.

Building & Property will be responsible for building, grounds and M&E facilities maintenance and services such as catering, cleaning, post distribution and security across five ONS sites throughout England and Wales. The contract also includes a "gain-sharing" policy with ONS and Building & Property sharing savings achieved from innovation

After a ten-week transition period, about 50 ONS employees will transfer to Building & Property under TUPE regulations.

Chief executive of Building & Property Clive Groom, says the contract is an excellent addition to the company’s growing portfolio of major contracts. ONS’s director of finance and corporate services Alan Goldsmith, is equally excited about the contract and adds that it gives ONS access to an acknowledged leader in the provision of these services.
