ISS reports turnover and profits up in interims

Danish cleaning and support services company ISS has reported turnover for the six months to June up 66% at Dkk 13.3 billion as the company's longstanding CEO Waldemar Schmidt finally retires. The company also achieved organic growth of 9% and operating profit increased 51% to DKK 608 million.

Under new CEO Eric Rylberg, ISS will launch a new vision for the Group in November. Presenting the interim results, Rylberg said that outsourcing continued to show strong momentum, as the private sector became more sophisticated. He expected the public sector to open up in some markets, bundling of services to gather pace and quality measured to standards to become the norm.
