BIFM forms building services interest group

The British Institute of Facilities Management has formed a Building Services Special Interest Group and is currently canvassing the views of facilities managers on the priorities for its first project.

The new group will investigate and report on any building services issue which gives the FM a problem, where they would like to know what is best practice, or simply need greater knowledge.

Got a Building services problem? Need a better understanding of a Building Services subject? Want to know what is best practice in building services? Want to find out how other FM's have solved building services problems to the satisfaction of their internal customers?

The chairman, Mick Dalton of Ernst & Young, says the group's output will be totally focused on the FM: " We need practising facilities managers to direct the activities of the group to ensure we address the most pressing subjects. The official launch is next month and I'd invite anyone who would like to take part or to nominate an issue that needs investigating to contact me."
