Numbers change on Saturday!

Here is a reminder that mobile telephone numbers are changing this weekend.

All UK mobile phone, pager and personal numbers will begin 07. Many already begin 07 but those that don't will change tomorrow, 28 April. That doesn't mean just adding a 7 to the current number – some of the prefixes change altogether. See the table below to find out the new numbers.

As of 28 April 2001, the safety net allowing calls to connect to both the old and new mobile, pager, premium rate and special rate numbers will be switched off. After this date only the new numbers will work. So, make sure to change mobile phones, faxes, phones, PCs, switchboards and databases, so they don’t fail you on Monday.Here’s a table with information how the numbers will change:
