The detailed programme for IFMA's World Workplace Europe 2001 event has been published. IFMA expects over 500 people to make the trip to Innsbruck for the three-day event in June.

Dr. Lothat Spath Prof. Dr. Norbert Walter

The programme includes more than 30 concurrent sessions and two keynote addresses – by the Chairman of Jenoptik GmbH, Dr. Lothat Spath and Prof. Dr. Norbert Walter, Chief Economist of the Deutsche Bank Group.

IFMA's Chairman, Geert Freling says: " World Workplace Europe is a product of the growing awareness that facility management is a global profession driven by technology, finance and real estate. We have witnessed great changes in the practice of facility management over the last ten years … and now we find that new skills are required, new tools are to be mastered and broader scopes of thinking must be employed. World Workplace Europe is a fusion of those skills and tools, presenting the integration of finance and technology in the management of strategic assets as more than core competencies for facility management, but the very platforms from which facility managers will be expected to operate."

A conference dinner, exhibition and plenty of opportunities for pan-European networking round out what promises to be a unique event. i-FM is an electronic Publication Partner to World Workplace Europe and will be reporting each day from Innsbruck – we hope to see you there.
