Senior Payroll Administrator, FTC Maternity Cover- London

Salary £28k pro rata

To provide an efficient and professional administrative support to the Payroll department by completing manual and electronic payroll administration whilst ensuring compliance with internal processes and external statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities & accountabilities

  • Monthly (manual) processing of company’s timesheets
  • Manual payroll calculations for new starters, leavers, annual leave, SSP and SMP
  • Update Oracle Core HR database with new starter, leaver and changes to contract information
  • Create and send weekly timesheets to all branches
  • Daily monitoring and responding to emails in the Payroll Mailbox
  • Manage start to end payroll process of assigned group of restaurants
  • Check returned timesheets and communicate with General Managers over queries and errors related to the hours reported
  • Processing payroll data each pay period in a timely and accurate manner and that deadlines are achieved
  • From September 2019 - Weekly processing (import and export) of restaurant timecards via Kronos Time and Attendance. Ensure all Queries and Exceptions are resolved in a timely manner
  • Monthly Labour Turnover reporting for all sites
  • Payroll Project Management - Support the HR and Payroll Manager with the implementation of Kronos Time and Attendance database and the move from Monthly to Bi-weekly Payrolls across the the  business.

Experience and Skills

  • Relevant payroll processing experience preferably within a Retail/Hospitality Head Office
  • Experience of Kronos Time and Attendance database – essential
  • Experience of Oracle Core HR database – desirable
  • Strong IT skills, proficient user of Microsoft programs (Microsoft Excel Intermediate level
  • VLOOKUP/ Pivot tables, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Enthusiastic, flexible, adaptable, quick to learn and able to multi-task
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, able to plan and prioritise
