Having studied IT and realised it wasn’t for me, I fell into facilities management by automating the FM systems in a data centre for Natwest Bank.
I later did my 10-year 'FM apprenticeship' with Lloyds TSB, working through the ranks to Facilities Manager at one of their prestigious head office buildings in London.
During my time with Lloyds TSB, I studied construction and obtained a 1st Class degree in FM. I then accepted a Senior FM position with Mellon Financial Services managing several buildings in London where I was fortunate to be involved in a major new head office build, managing the transition from 12 offices.
I then joined Eversheds LLP as Head of Facilities and project managed their prestigious new London headquarters before joining Olswang LLP in 2007 as Premises & Facilities Director where my remit has expanded into Europe. I have continued my studies, becoming a Chartered Manager with the Chartered Management Institute and I am currently doing an MSc in Corporate Real Estate & FM.
Hard work will be rewarded.
